Eyes of a Lagos Boy is a concept using photography, music and adventure in documenting history from the African perspective.
Created by Bolaji Alonge, with more than a decade of experience in looking for beauty where it is least expected. Alonge’s visual language speaks of the positive Nigerian experience, wonders of nature, human exchange, urban culture and searches for historical continuity in a world that is sometimes heavily fractured. His lens exposes contrast and conflict while offering an alternative vision of oneness, order in chaos.
Some of the photos in the following have been exhibited and they are on sale. Enjoy the pictures.
“The African must be able to tell his/her story, mainly from the African eye using Photography and history not just for those here and around today but with the ultimate aim of reaching out to generations unborn. A people with the knowledge of their own HISTORY are proud people. Africa is contributing its part in the information highway and with the internet at our disposal, there’s never a better time to do so.” Alonge said.
