A son or daughter comes home ….

His / her trip was like no other, full of adventure to

the outside world.

Nobody knew his / her story because they would not listen;

because they only heard what they wanted to hear.

Nobody saw his / her story;

because they just saw what they wanted to see

No one saw how he / she struggled and tried;

they were just jealous of the adventurous life that he / she lived

No one saw, heard or listened to his / her true story;

he / she didn’t fail; in any way;

he / she has given everything and that was more than enough

And that’s exactly what made him / her the person he / she is now.

A son or daughter has come home

Zijn/haar reis was als geen ander, vol avontuur

voor de buitenwereld.

Niemand wist zijn/haar verhaal omdat ze niet wilden

luisteren; omdat ze alleen maar datgene hoorden

wat zij wilden horen.

Niemand zag zijn/haar verhaal;

omdat ze alleen maar zagen wat zij wilden zien

Niemand zag hoe hij/zij

worstelde en probeerde;

ze waren alleen maar jaloers op dat

avontuurlijke leven dat hij/zij leefde

Niemand zag, hoorde of

luisterde naar zijn/haar ware verhaal;

hij/zij heeft niet gefaald; in geen enkel opzicht;

hij/zij heeft alles gegeven en dat was meer dan genoeg

En precies dat is wat hem/haar maakte

tot de persoon die hij/zij nu is.

Een zoon of dochter is thuis gekomen
