Burna Boy, the Nigerian Afro-fusion superstar, graced the stage on the second night of Felabration to the joy of revellers at the Afrika Shrine, Lagos.

It was a line up of performances by artists such as Etuk Ubong, CDQ and others.

The ‘African Giant’ alias seem befitting as the fans went berserk when he stepped on stage and did not fall short of expectation as he dished out his famous hits one after another, ‘Gbona’, ‘Ye,’ ‘Dangote,’ ‘Tonight,’ ‘Another Story,’ ‘On The Low’, ‘Killin Dem and others tracks with fans singing along in the Lagos heat.

The last time the BET 2019 Best International Act winner performed at Felabration was in the edition held in 2017, then as a much loved rising and award-winning star.

What makes the 2019 appearance special is that within the last two years, Burna Boy has grown from an African Act to an International star with a top recording label and has gained a monster followership around the world. He has performed at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, featured on top-rated TV shows in North America and even appeared to an entirely new audience on the Daily Show with Trevor Noah. Burna Boy is one of the most sought after artists in Africa.

Performing and paying respect to the legendary Fela Kuti who interestingly had Burna Boy’s grandfather, Benson Idonije as his first producer in the early 1960s is of particular note.

Felabration 2019 is ongoing, filled with lots of activities at the Afrika Shrine and Freedom Park Lagos, showcasing acts from Nigeria and all around the world.
