The image got reposted on X formerly Twitter, by Jubril Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu. As at press time, the photo has over 300k views and counting across different internet platforms.
The picture sparked debates, different takes and guesses from all parts of the world on who knows Lagos best. Some wondered if it is New York, Amsterdam, Tokyo? While others called it Osogbo, Anambra, and many other places with hilarious banter by Nigerians. The image is currently being circulated by websites, social media pages, groups and also in use as screen savers on people’s devices.
I fear I may lose my way the next time I am in Lagos .

Titled, ‘Lagos Rhythm II’ and taken by photographer Bolaji Alonge in September 2023 the image has clearly steered citizens to take a deeper look at the beauty of Lagos, while being ushered to the front row seat as witnesses of the documentation and the growth of a megacity.
