Made Kuti set to blow off the roof at the Afrika Shrine

Afrobeat scion, Made Kuti and his band The Movement, are putting on a one-of-a-kind showcase at the New Afrika Shrine Lagos on Friday from 7pm, 14 May.

Themed ‘A Night with Made Kuti and the Movement’, it is billed to be the first full show of the band at the arena that has seen Made play different instruments from when he was a toddler.

The upcoming show is on the heels of his inaugural performance held a fortnight ago where the new band was formally introduced by father, Femi Kuti to music fans.

A Night with Made Kuti and the Movement concert will add a new dimension to the Afrika Shrine. It will feature musical acts, Ollà, Dapo Turburna and others.

Afrobeat lovers can expect outstanding live renditions of favorites tracks off Made’s new album, For(e)ward ; ‘Free Your Mind’, Your Enemy’, ‘Higher You’ll Find’ and several tunes. Special hits from the Kuti collection like never heard before will be in full supply. Made’s version of Fela’s ‘Water’ is another soul soothing revelation.

A limited number of tickets will be made available at the venue for ₦1000 each and sold on a first-come basis in line with COVID-19 protocols.
